I'm kind of in heaven since that I've discovered this book about common cooking ratios on Amazon.com. I'm especially excited about the breads and cookies. I already feel like I understand why my nut-free Russian Tea Cake cookies were flat last year (not enough flour since I omitted the ground nuts).
I love tinkering but I never know how things are going to come out.
Today I'm trying the nut-free tea cakes again. I wish I had the courage to try ground Grape Nuts cereal as a replacement but after yesterday's baking disaster, I think I'll play it safe.
